Andrew Kucera, Director
My name is Andrew Kucera and I am the Northern Director at Large for the Society of Injured Riders (SIR) and live in Fort St John, British Columbia.
Back in 2001 I started attending Boogie Bash then in 2014 started assisting with Set Up & Tear Down, now I just run from Wednesday morning until Monday night (Well of course that is just during Boogie Bash). Frig… What was I thinking?
Well, I was thinking that I wanted to assist downed riders and their families. I wanted to be apart of a family who looked after each other when they needed help. I wanted to know that an organization like this would be helping me if I needed it.
More to the story is that my mom Wilma needed help and since Butch had passed that I need to be the one to help her. Of course, it probably helped knowing the Wet T-Shirt Contest was Butch’s passion at Boogie Bash and let’s say I think he would be proud of how it has grown. 😊
As a Director from Fort St John, you might not see as much of me as you would like in the Okanagan area but understand that I am passionate about ensuring the injured rider and their families are supported by this Society. If you are in the north and want to touch base give me a call.
