I have been a member of SIR for 3 years and on the board 1 year. When I became a member it was because I believe that this is a great cause. This group also was a great pairing with a riding group that I am a part of.
I ride a 2013 Yanaha 1300 that I got because I had an accident with my previous bike and it was a write off. That accident made me realize what an asset it is to be involved with a group like SIR. I didn't need any help but if I had it would have been great to know I would have had the assistant.
Being involved with the boogie bash has been a great experience. It is a long weekend of massive work but the comararde and music is incredible. Top that off with knowing that all the profits go to helping injured riders makes it so rewarding.
Being part of the poker run is also a highlight of the SIR events. Leaving the first stop with a large group is a "rush" that you need to experience to understand.
This is a great hardworking group to be involved with that has a great cause.
